Set in the High Pennine Hills of Co Durham, Middleton-in-Teesdale is a beautiful village / town of stone built traditional properties. A centre for walkers and hikers as it is skirted by the Pennine Way. The pictureque scene in this photo is supplemented by natures spectacular lighting display - a remarkable rainbow which lasted for some two hours in its full splendour.
